The official Willy Wonka gobstopper is sold by Ferrara candy now. They are just a simple ball of candy that comes in a few different colors and flavors. You likely remember “everlasting gobstoppers” from the Willy Wonka movie. These aren’t really like that but they’re still very tasty and fun to eat!

Galaxy and Dove are known for having a variety of options to choose from. Whether you just want decadent milk chocolate or something like caramel or dark chocolate. They do have several other flavors out there as well, but these are the most common choices.

A fun fact about the marketing of Galaxy. At one time, it was actually marketed using an image of Audrey Hepburn. This was in 2013 so it was just an image but the same commercial also used the song Moon River and it was a big hit. 

The Galaxy line also has the Galaxy Bubble candy bar made from aerated chocolate and it’s been a popular choice as well.

Fun fact about this candy. They used the word Goober because in the American English language it translated to “peanut”, so it seemed like a good fit.

This brand has been around since 1852. That’s exactly 170 years from the time of this article. That’s some pretty outstanding history. They were founded in California, USA and continue to have their primary headquarters in California. The name for the brand came from the original founder, who was Domingo Ghirardelli. 

The brand is owned by a Swiss company known as Lindt & Sprungli. That company was founded by Domingo Ghirardelli when he moved to the USA from South America. This is the 3rd oldest chocolate company in the United States. The only two with more years are Whitman’s and Baker’s Chocolate companies.

Goo Goo cluster are made the Goo Goo chocolate company. These are considered to be one of the original chocolate clusters that you could ever find. The company began in 1912 by Howell Campbell. It started in Nashville, Tennessee and took off from there. 

These clusters are made with roasted peanuts, marshmallow nougat, caramel, and then a chocolate coating around it all. They are certainly scrumptious and delicious.
