This brand has been around since 1852. That’s exactly 170 years from the time of this article. That’s some pretty outstanding history. They were founded in California, USA and continue to have their primary headquarters in California. The name for the brand came from the original founder, who was Domingo Ghirardelli. 

The brand is owned by a Swiss company known as Lindt & Sprungli. That company was founded by Domingo Ghirardelli when he moved to the USA from South America. This is the 3^rd oldest chocolate company in the United States. The only two with more years are Whitman’s and Baker’s Chocolate companies. 

The company started out small and has continued to grow into something unique and treasured as we know it today. 

5. Gummy Bears

We all know gummy bears. Not everyone loves them but the people that do tend to be avid fans when given the chance to cherish the candy. These tasty little treats are shaped like small bears and made like a fruit gummy candy, hence the name gummy bears.
